MY REVIEW

“Basia coquum,” Simon said. “Or whatever their motto is.”
“It’s ‘Descensus Averno facilis est.’ ‘The descent into hell is easy,” said Alec. “You just said “Kiss the cook.”
“Dammit,” said Simon. “I knew Jace was screwing with me.”

Just like City of Fallen Angels, this book started slow-paced and nothing really interest me on the first half of it, but as I read the other half I became interested on what is really happening and I enjoyed it. Don’t get me wrong, even though it was slow, Cassandra Clare’s writing is still fantastic.

So now Sebastian is alive and now he is somehow connected with Jace. That means whenever you hurt Sebastian, Jace will suffer too and vice-versa. The clave wants to kill Sebastian and since the magic of Lilith bound Jace together with him, they don’t even care if Jace end up dead too. They believe that they need to destroy the evil which is Sebastian even though it will also destroy a fellow innocent shadowhunter.

“I don’t care,” Clary said. “He’d do it for me. Tell me he wouldn’t. If I were missing-”
“He’d burn the whole world down till he could dig you out of the ashes. I know,” Alec said.”

Okay, Clary still annoys me a little bit though she became less whiny in this book which is a good thing. Simon and Izzy in City of Lost Souls ahhh – they’re still my my OTP in the mortal instruments series, they are so cute together. And we saw Maureen in the end (*spoiler ahead*) she said the she killed Camille, like whaaaat?? Let’s not forget about Jace who has heavenly fire inside him, okay now I’m intrigued on what will happen in City of Heavenly fire.

So sorry if I can’t make my review long enough, I just love The Mortal Instruments so much and it’s hard to review every singe book, you know what  I mean??

I heard that COHF has some spoilers from The Infernal Devices trilogy and I haven’t even read the Clockwork Angel yet. Some of my friends says that I should read TID first before reading City of Heavenly Fire and I’m totally doing it. It’s just that I don’t have the copies of TID in my shelf yet because I’m broke, that means I have to wait for me to have money for TID then I can read COHF. Ahhhh!
